British Muslim Network launch
On the evening Tuesday, 25 February 2025, over 300 people gathered at the Hilton Kensington in London for the launch of the British Muslim Network BMN). Hosted by BMN co-chairs Akeela Ahmed MBE and Imam Qari Asim MBE, guest speakers included Labour MP Wes Streeting, Conservative MP Nusrat Ghani, Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, Lord Wajid Khan, and BMN founding members Julie Siddiqi MBE and Imam Asim Hafiz OBE.
The event began earlier in the day with a series of workshops with invited experts from across British Muslim society discussing pressing issues in healthcare, education, entrepreneurship, and Islamophobia. The evening concluded with a promise to incorporate all the feedback and expertise into the further development of BMN as a complement to existing British Muslim civil society infrastructure.
